Bonjour

La mode à paris!

MIlan Fashion Week - continued

1960??? No Its Moschino

The Sexy 60's influence was obvious at the S/S 2013 Moschino Runway.

Versace

The Definition of Sexy.
Versace showed an intense roman influence, why shouldn't it right? Donatella has done it again.

Versus

Pretty in pink?
Versus is a hip brand which shows much character, it's atypical cuts remind me of the London runways. Good job Versus.

FENDI

The Lagerfeld is unstoppable.
Master of the arts, Karl, has a clear view between what is considered Italian fashion, despite working internationally. FENDI's iconic geometric look took over Milano runways. /div>

what's just a little north of Milan? Switzerland!

BALLY
This historic brand is elegance on its feet. It's cuts and colours are modern chic with a French twist. Its simplicity shows that you don't need much opulence to be luxurious. CONTRADICTION? Haha. You just don't want this show to end.

Missoni

How can you not fall in love with Missoni?
What is so beautiful about this brand is the fabrics. After all that's what it's known for! Ombré ombré and more ombré! Can't wait for s/s 2013!!

SORRY IF I DIDN'T COVER YOUR FAVOURITE DESIGNER!!

For now we say CIAO MILANO.

2 Days, 22 Shows into Milan Fashion Week

1a Classe

It began with 1a Classe, by Alviero Martini, and its official, metallics are a hit for S/S 2013 as well as oversized tops and furs.

Mila Schön

Always sure to impress, came Mila Schön, which also demonstrated a great assortment of the metallic looks as well as semi "monochromatic" looks which have grained popularity recently. Schön also broke the ombré fad by including harsh lines to separate color.

Gucci

Gucci sowed a great deal of interest in the monochromatic look as well, and someone must be feeling a bit nostalgic as most of the clothes showed a great deal of 1970's inspiration.

Max Mara

in Max Mara's case, they decided to brake from the pack and stick to masculine cuts and more natural colors as opposed to bright metallics.

Pada

As far as Prada goes, as opposed to others used much less intense cuts in its womenswear as opposed to its menswear. Id have to say I give the props to the mens department.

Something that I will say about the Milanese is that they are clean cut and dress to impress.

Recap of LFW

The glam began on the 14th of September, with dozens of designers filling the streets with loyal spectators, and ending tonight on the 18th. British fashion is unique for the fact that it is what you make it. LFW never fails to impress its fans, from its retro punk to its classic tailored folk.

I know I shouldn't Pick favorites but, for the occasion

Christopher Kane

Moschino Cheap and Chic

David Koma

And last but not least, the classic
Burberry Prorsum

I hope next year I get to watch these shows, and more, in person rather than Live from my couch. Till next time, Goodbye LFW.

PEOPLE LOVE THE BRAND RATHER THAN DESIGN OF THE GARMENT

Yes there are many who claim to love "fashion" but what are they referring to?

Fashion seems to be in everyones lips lately, but what might they be babbling about? Is it this seasons runways or are they more interested in what the mall racks have to offer? Many indeed do scrounge over getting the latest trends, but for what reason?
The fact is people love labels. when you complement someone what do you receive in return? A lousy "thank you" and a pretentious "I got it at…". What do we acquire from knowing exactly? Ill tell you, absolutely nothing. Billboards are what are seen in the media and pop-culture seems to be "buying it" literally.

For the few others who love clothing for the love of the cut, and the self-expression that the garment has to offer, a big thumbs up.
As my close friend, Vanne Ochoa, once said "Fashion fades, only style remains the same"

So what so you love about Fashion?
